Pre-season should never be over analysed, but a viral training drill at Manchester United has got fans worried about their prospects when the action kicks off.
The Red Devils have been far from impressive this summer, and their misery was compounded by a hefty 4-1 defeat to rivals Liverpool in the International Champions Cup last week. Many are also unhappy with Jose Mourinho’s behaviour in press conferences, too, claiming he is too negative.
With only three signings through the door, the general consensus is that United are not ready to close the 19-point gap to neighbours and Premier League champions Manchester City last season. A one-touch training drill has done little to raise the spirits, with very little intensity involved.

Questionable intensity

By no means does this poor drill mean that Mourinho’s men are not going to be involved in the title race next season, but the campaign has not got off to the best of starts.
