Barcelona have reportedly taken a significant step towards luring Antoine Griezmann to Camp Nou, beating competitors such as Manchester United.
It emerged late Tuesday night that Barcelona had reached a “principle of agreement” with Griezmann.

French newspaper Le10Sport (h/t Calciomercato.com) reported Griezmann has given the go-ahead to a move to the Camp Nou and could be well on the path to joining the club next summer.
Griezmann has struggled to continue his excellent form of previous seasons this campaign, but he will still have suitors around Europe should Atletico Madrid openly look to sell the Frenchman.
United will likely come back knocking with Paul Pogba using his relationship with Griezmann as a pull factor. Barcelona’s interest will undoubtedly sadden United fans, which may force the Premier League giants to consider alternative options.
It looks like Ousmane Dembele will step up this summer to challenge Pogba in a competition of convincing. The trio are more than likely to be together anyhow, as the 2018 World Cup kicks-off in Russia.
