Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has credited N’Golo Kante with the inspiration for his wonderful winning goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Blues ended Jürgen Klopp’s side’s 100% start to the season at Anfield, with Hazard completing the comeback which was sparked by Emerson Palmieri, who cancelled out Daniel Sturridge’s opener.

But the Belgian’s strike stole the show, and when asked for his thoughts on the goal, he talked of a rather funny conversation he had with Kante on the bench before he came on.
“Kante told me he doesn’t want to take a penalty so I had to score.”
Chelsea now host Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday night, looking to end another winning run. If they do that, they could return to the top of the table.
On current form, Hazard is probably the league’s best player, and though he has shown this kind of form before, it is clear he is really enjoying playing under a manager, Maurizio Sarri, who lets him express himself.
