With the Championship Playoff final bringing the curtain down on the season, attention will quickly turn to the summer transfer window. Huge money will be spent in England and abroad, with a number of big names on the verge of big deals already.

Manchester City clinched a reported £60million deal for Bernardo Silva earlier this week, Pep Guardiola’s rivals are playing catch up as the foundations are laid for the best Premier League title race in years.

Not for long, though, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all on the verge of their first new signings of the summer. Here are the top five ‘done deals’ of the market so far.

1. Ederson – Benfica to Manchester City

City may have clinched the Silva deal, but they are already looking to add a goalkeeper to their ranks. After Joe Hart’s exit last summer, and Claudio Bravo’s struggles during the campaign, Guardiola has endured a lot of criticism for his handling of the goalkeeping situation at the Etihad Stadium.

Sky are reporting the 23-year-old Brazilian is having a medical at the two-time Premier League champions. It is believed the deal will cost £35million, making Ederson the most expensive goalkeeper of all time, finally usurping Gigi Buffon, who cost £32million when moving from Parma to Juventus in 2001.

2. Antoine Griezmann – Atletico Madrid to Manchester United

This is a rumour that has not gone away for quite a while. Griezmann. 26, is Jose Mourinho’s primary attacking target this summer, as the United boss looks to replace both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney, who could both depart Old Trafford in the coming months.

The Frenchman has developed into one of the best players in the world since joining Atletico in 2014. He is believed to have an £85million release clause in his contract at the Vicente Calderon, and has refused to deny he could join up with friend and international teammate Paul Pogba at Old Trafford.

His Atletico teammate Saul has recently been quoted saying he could make the switch if he so wishes, per Metro.

3. Ivan Perisic – Inter to Manchester United

Another big deal on the horizon for United is Croatian winger Ivan Perisic. Mourinho, a former Inter manager, has identified the player as a vital piece of his summer jigsaw, and it was reported on Sky that a £45million deal was in the process of being completed, per the Daily Star.

The Red Devils are in a strong negotiating position after clinching Champions League qualification via their Europa League final victory over Ajax last week. The Italian club are said to be keen to sanction a deal so their new manager, who is yet to be announced, has money to spend at the San Siro.

Rumours that champions Chelsea are keen to sign the 28-year-old could add late drama in the race for the deal. But it is obvious United are keen to get their business done early and that should be enough to sign him.

4. Romelu Lukaku – Everton to Chelsea

Antonio Conte is keen to build on his debut title success at Stamford Bridge, and a striker is high on his list of priorities. Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, 24, is set to leave Goodison Park after refusing to sign a new contract, and the Blues are in the driving seat for his signature.

Lukaku, who scored 25 goals for the Toffees this season, first moved to Merseyside on loan from Chelsea in 2013 before completing a £28million permanent transfer a year later. But his former club are now closing in on a deal worth £85million, with the Telegraph pointing out how the deal fits perfectly.

Diego Costa’s future remains uncertain despite the player claiming he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge. The Spain striker has been linked with a move to China and a return to Atletico Madrid in recent months, and recently admitted he ‘hoped’ Lukaku returned to West London.

5. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Arsenal to Liverpool

Change could be afoot at Arsenal this summer, with Arsene Wenger yet to announce his decision over his future. The 67-year-old’s contract expires this summer.

Despite winning the FA Cup, it has been a disappointing season for the Gunners, who failed to reach the Champions League. Rumours have been rife that, Wenger or no Wenger, a squad overhaul will take place, and a number of players will leave the Emirates Stadium.

One of those is reported to be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The England midfielder’s career has stagnated in recent years and there is a growing feeling that he may need to depart the club.

There will be no shortage of suitors for him, though, and the Liverpool Echo are reporting Liverpool are favourites to sign him. Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to strengthen their squad for the Champions League and the Arsenal man may jump at the chance to stay in Europe’s premier club competition.
