DONE DEAL: Barcelona agree terms on stunning deal to sign £92m-rated Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho is reported to have agreed to a massive deal, resulting in his return to La Liga. According to Mundo Deportivo via RAC1, Barcelona have come to personal terms with the Brazilian international.
The Spanish giant will now have to convince Liverpool, who have already rejected a €75 million offer. The 25-year-old is vital in Jürgen Klopp’s plans, and demanding more money for their key player.
Barcelona are hoping Coutinho will help ensure Neymar remains at Nou Camp, who desires additional Brazilian teammates in the squad. By bringing one of his friends, it could help keep the MSN intact, and make them title favourites. PSG are trying to lure the Barca star, as the Ligue 1 giants are keen to trigger his £196million release clause.
The Blaugrana look to improve upon their squad, after losing out to rivals Real Madrid last season in La Liga. Coutinho would provide more depth in the midfield, whose proven to be a star at Liverpool. He joined the Reds in 2013, and since then scored 35 goals and contributed to 29 assists.
A move would take him back to Spain, after spending a year on loan with Espanyol. Barcelona’s personnel are currently in England, working on securing the deal which could amount to a gigantic deal around £92m.
