Crystal Palace line-up surprise move for Chelsea wide-man
Crystal Palace are lining up a move for out of favour right-back Branislav Ivanovic according to the Daily Mirror.
The Serbian international is out of contract in the summer and as such could be picked up on the cheap when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The 32-year-old lost his spot in Antonio Conte’s starting eleven following Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal back in late September, the Italian opting to move to a three man back-line, and this has left the long-serving Blues star out in the cold.
L'OM serait intéressé par Bratislav Ivanovic, tout comme l'Inter, Crystal Palace et des clubs noichi selon le Mirror https://t.co/m877E3nXk7— Alexandre (@AlexandreTay_) October 30, 2016
One can well see why Alan Pardew would be keen on bringing in such an experienced defender but one wonders if Ivanovic would be interested in a move to the South London club.
Ivanovic, who has made a total of 369 appearances for Chelsea since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2008, is also said to be interesting sides in the Chinese Super League where no doubt he can secure a massive salary.
