Though, after the game, there was much talk about the players future with the forward making it clear over the past few months in court meetings that he would like to return to the Premier League.

While that could potentially be true, there wasn’t much to say for sure that Ronaldo was leaving the Bernabeu, let alone Manchester United making a move for the player if he did leave Real Madrid.

A deal would no doubt cost an incredible sum of money but if the player wants to leave he could well be able to push through a deal.

Now, Spanish outlet Diario Gol have suggested that Ronaldo has an agreement to leave Real Madrid this summer and join Manchester United.

That would be a huge revelation, with the player still at the peak of his powers and is not really showing any signs of slowing down.

Speaking after the game with Liverpool, Ronaldo also suggested that he could be leaving.

When asked about his future he responded: “In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans. It was very nice to play at Real Madrid. It is not a farewell, but in the next few days, I will give an answer.”
