Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his supreme self confidence, and that has been proven again by Peter Crouch in his Daily Mail column.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is odds on favourite to win another this year, despite leaving Real Madrid this summer, and has already cemented his place as a footballing legend.
But he is known to have a rather intense personal rivalry with Lionel Messi, and Crouch says he has been told stories of how players at Ronaldo’s former club Manchester United would claim Messi was better than him.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been placed on a special training regime at Juventus with the aim to help rediscover his goalscoring form.

“Rio Ferdinand would tell us stories about how Cristiano Ronaldo would stand in front of the mirror naked, running his hand through his hair, and say, ‘Wow. I’m so beautiful!'” Crouch said.
“The other United players would try to wind him up. ‘Whatever. Leo Messi is a better player than you.’
“And he would shrug his shoulders and smile again. ‘Ah, yes. But Messi does not look like this…'”
That is rather typical of Ronaldo’s personality, but it cannot be denied the Portugal star is one of the best players to ever play the game.
