We know this seems a little far-fetched but Spanish newspaper Sport are suggesting that Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona for Manchester United in the summer.
Apparently, Jose Mourinho is lining up a ridiculous move to bring the Barcelona star, whose contract at the Camp Nou expires in 2018, to Manchester United.
This comes after Messi rejected a contract extension offer from Barcelona back in the summer and has since been linked with mega deals elsewhere.
However, Sport are claiming that if he was to leave, Manchester United could be his next destination as the Special One is set to offer Messi a spectacular deal, backed by Adidas, to try and bring the Argentine to the club.
It’s claimed that Man United are willing to pay Messi €100 million a season for him not to renew with Barcelona, in order to secure his signature.
This would mean that the player will receive €100 million a year from Manchester United, whilst still being a Barcelona player for the remaining years of his contract.
Of course, this means he will be collecting two huge sums of money from both clubs, at the same time.

Moreover, Adidas, who sponsor Messi, are set to foot the bonus bill in order to lure the 5-time-Ballon d’Or winner to the Premier League.
Whether the plan is feasible is up for discussion and it will be interesting to see just how this one pans out.
