Chelsea told to pay £75m for Premier League striker as forward confirms interest in Blues switch
Chelsea have been told they can re-sign forward Romelu Lukaku this summer but only if they meet Everton’s £75m price-tag according to The Sun on Sunday.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign in 2015/16, bagging 18 Premier League goals, and is now thought to be a target for new Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Lukaku failed to make an impact in his first stint at Stamford Bridge, making just one Premier League start for the West London club following his £18m move from Anderlecht.
Chelsea opted to sell Lukaku to Everton in a £28m deal back in July 2014 and the burly hit-man has matured into a proven Premier League goal-scorer, netting 60 goals in 139 top tier appearances at Goodison Park, as well as strong loan spell at West Bromwich Albion.
Conte has already signed fellow Belgian international Michy Batshuayi in a £33m deal from Marseille and may look to pair the two countrymen together whilst Diego Costa is strongly linked with a move back to Atletico Madrid.
