Chelsea told how much they're going to have to spend in order to sign Morata
Chelsea are set to change their strike force come the summer, and while links with their former player Romelu Lukaku have been strong, there could well be another forward Antonio Conte has his eye on.
Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata has been linked with various sides in the Premier League, and it seems that Chelsea could finally be the ones to bring him to England.
Diego Costa’s future is uncertain, and it seems Conte will do anything bar play Michy Batshuayi, meaning Morata may even be purchased should Costa stay.
Having already been let go once by Real Madrid, the club and Morata are aware that should he leave a second time, a reunion is not likely to happen.
With Zidane still seemingly favouring Karim Benzema in the starting line up, Morata is willing to move, and a club like Chelsea, with their money, manager and other star players – not to mention the chance to win titles, is ideal.
Chelsea meanwhile are far from poor, but would still have to cough up a large sum to sign the Spaniard.
Lukaku is thought to be around £65 million, and Morata stands at 70 million euros – with both being a club record fee should Chelsea chose to splash the cash on either – or both of them.
