Chelsea target Courtois replacement as Real Madrid loomPublished December 27, 2016
Chelsea fans will probably want to get another shot of tequila and go on the lash again after seeing the Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid rumours grow by the day.
Now, the Daily Express think the Blues are set to allow Courtois to leave in a swap deal for James Rodriguez – and have a replacement lined up.
Joe Hart is the man in question, with Manchester City making it clear he has no future at the Etihad.
Currently on loan in Serie A with Torino, Hart would surely see a move to Chelsea as a step forward – with the Blues looking like being title winners this season, and a Champions League spot all but assured.
Claudio Bravo has struggled at City, but manager Pep Guardiola has made it clear he does not fancy the England number one – who would probably love to prove his current club wrong and take Chelsea forward.
Chelsea fans meanwhile will probably despair at the news, given there are few better than Courtois, and one of the only keepers on his level, Petr Cech, was of course sold to Arsenal to accommodate Courtois.
