Chelsea to Start Summer Spending With £57m Double Italian International Swoop

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is ready to spend big to land two of his Italian national team charges this summer accordingt to The Sun.


Conte is in charge of Italy at the Euro 2016 finals and on completion of the tournament will take charge at Stamford Bridge and will be handed a massive transfer war-chest in order to freshen up a squad that failed to secure European football of any flavour next term.

Conte wants Lazio wide-man Antonio Candreva and experienced Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and the West London side are ready to spend a combined £57m to snap up the pair.

29-year-old winger Candreva has an interest in moving to Inter but may well be tempted by a move to Chelsea whilst Bonucci, a cornerstone of Juventus’s run of Serie A triumphs, has apparently already accepted terms on a huge £130k a week deal.

The duo are by no means spring chickens but are proven players of real quality, two battlers who will offer Conte some continuity as he seeks to turn the Chelsea ship around.
