Chelsea star's future in doubt after SHOCKING revelations
Chelsea defender David Luiz’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt after Antonio Conte dropped the Brazilian for Sunday’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.
Luiz has a reputation for calamity, but now in his second spell with The Blues, he has become much more consistent. That didn’t stop him being dropped as a “tactical decision” according to his manager.
Having played the last two games with strapping on his leg, it was first thought Luiz was injured, but things soon changed when he arrived at the match in regular clothes. He took his seat behind the home dugout as a player with a point to prove.
Conte, who was responsible for re-signing Luiz from French giants PSG in the summer of 2016, admitted after the match that he “didn’t know” if the player was still in his plans, but did say any of his players could be in the same situation.
It comes after a horrendous defeat to Roma in the Champions League. Luiz hardly covered himself in glory and it has also emerged that he was made to train alone towards the end of last week.
