Chelsea star will cost Chinese clubs £127million this summer
Any deal between Chelsea and Chinese Super League clubs for Diego Costa will cost a world-record £127million, according to journalist Johnny Severin, per Sky.
Cota has been in impeccable form for the Blues this season, netting 16 goals and helping Antonio Conte’s side to a seemingly unassailable lead in the Premier League table.
But rumours began to surface in January of interest from China in the Brazilian-born Spain striker and they led to an argument between he and Conte, which threatened to derail their good form.
While everything seems to have been resolved and discussions said to be underway over a new contract at Stamford Bridge, interest from the Far East has not wavered, according to Severin.
But it will take an astronomical bid to prize him to China, and
Tianjin Quanjian are said to be willing to smash the world-record transfer fee of £89million, which saw Paul Pogba join Manchester United last summer, to lure Costa.

Chelsea are no strangers to selling players to Chinese clubs, having seen Brazilians Ramires and Oscar depart to the CSL over the past year.
