Chelsea set to sell five players as Antonio Conte gets ready for major player overhaul at Stamford BridgePublished September 29, 2016
It looks like Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is planning a major overhaul of his side, starting in January, as the Blues attempt to get their Premier League campaign back on track.
Despite starting the season in steady fashion, the West London side now find themselves without a win in four Premier League games, and following Chelsea’s humiliating 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, it’s believed that Antonio Conte has seen enough and is ready to plan a major shake up, especially in defence.
And according to the Times, the Italian boss has already identified the players he wants to ship out of the club in the near future.
Conte, is understood to have told Abramovich of his fear that several Chelsea players will never reproduce the form they showed for Mourinho the season before last and recommended they be phased out.
Nemanja Matic, Oscar, Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill are believed to be the most vulnerable, while Cesc Fàbregas will also be made available for the right price.
It looks set to be a busy start to 2017 for fans in West London.
