Chelsea and Real Madrid keen on Brazil star this summer
Chelsea and Real Madrid are set to battle it out to sign Juventus win-back Alex Sandro this summer, according to talkSPORT.
Since joining Juve from Porto in an £18million deal in 2015, the Brazilian international has made over 60 appearances for the Italian champions, furthering his reputation as the next Roberto Carlos.
According to A Bola, the Portuguese news outlet, both the English snd Spanish league leaders have identified Sandro as an ideal summer signing.
The presence of international teammate Marcelo at the Santiago Bernabeu means a move to Spain could be unlikely.
But Chelsea seems more of a perfect fit, given the similarity tactics between the Blues and Juve. Antonio Conte has now managed both clubs and likes to employ a system with wing-backs, perfectly suiting Sandro’s desire to get forward.
Conte, who left Turin the year before Sandro’s arrival, reportedly wants to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge to create competition for Marcos Alonso, who joined from Fiorentina last summer.
