Chelsea ready to make £25.5m approach for Ligue 1 sensation
Chelsea have made a £25.m approach to Monaco for one of their biggest talents following the players refusal of a new deal.
Tiémoué Bakayoko, a defensive midfielder, is top on Antonio Conte’s list of targets for the summer window even before securing their Premier League title this season.
The 22-year-old has impressed since making his breakthrough into the Monaco first team, but has now reportedly refused a contract ahead of a potential move away from Ligue 1.
According to Le 10 Sport, the player has received offers from Chelsea but also Premier League competitors Manchester City.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in the player back in the winter transfer window.
Following winter speculation, the player explained, “of course the Premier League makes you dream, but I have no reason to leave this winter.”
He did leave the window open for a transfer in the future and his contract refusal has put several clubs on red alert.
