Chelsea open talks with Real Madrid misfit over summer move
Sky are reporting Chelsea are set to add another defensive option to their squad by signing Danilo from Real Madrid.
The Brazilian, who plays predominantly at right-back, joined Real from FC Porto for £32million in 2015, but has struggled to assert himself at the Santiago Bernabeu, often playing second fiddle to Dani Carvajal.
Blues boss Antonio Conte may be looking for competition for Victor Moses in the right wing-back position.
He may see Danilo as an affordable option because he has played so little in Spin, but his former club Juventus are also believed to be keen after the departure of Dani Alves.
Chelsea were one of a few clubs said to be keen on the 34-year-old, as well as Manchester City and Tottenham, but he is all set to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.
Conte is also keen to sign a striker as Diego Coata’s future looks increasingly likely to be away from Stamford Bridge,.
