Chelsea and Manchester United set to miss out on prime striker target
Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata could turn his back on a Premier League in favour of a return to Serie A with AC Milan, per the Daily Express.
Morata, 24, rejoined Real from Juventus last summer after the newly-crowned Spanish champions activated a £32million buy back clause in his contract, having sold him in 2013.
But the Spain striker has been restricted to sporadic playing time and is plotting yet another move in the coming months.
During his time in Turin, Morata played under Antonio Conte. The Italian wants to take him to Chelsea, while his former boss with Los Blancos, Jose Mourinho, is targeting a reunion at Manchester United.

In something of a twist, it appears ambitious Serie A giants AC Milan have emerged as the favourites to sign him.
The Rossoneri have endured a tough few years, but having been taken over by new Chinese owners recently, they have financial power to match their ambition and could exercise it here.
