Chelsea to make HUGE £100million bid for European star striker
Chelsea are looking to smash their transfer record by submitting a £100million bid for Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi.
The Italian is the captain of the Milan giants and is one of the best strikers in world football, something which has obviously alerted teams to his quality and Chelsea are looking to bring him into the club.
That is not going to be easy though, with the player an Inter fan at heart and being captain of the club, it is unlikely that he would be willing to give that all up.
Though, the potential £100 million bid from Chelsea could persuade him otherwise with his Inter Milan release clause being in that region, leaving the Italian giants with no say in the matter.
Antonio Conte is a manager who has dived into the Italian market on a number of occasions due to his experiences in Serie A and with the Italian national team.
The Chelsea boss signed Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina and also knew Alvaro Morata from his spell at Juventus.
Now, the former player is looking to make the most of that Serie A knowledge and attempt to pull off the biggest deal in Premier League history by bringing Mauro Icardi to Chelsea.
Though, the Nerazzurri are hoping to offer him improved terms before the transfer window reopens in January in an attempt to ward off interest from Chelsea and other clubs.
As well as that blow, Chelsea would have to try and convince the player to join them over other teams with reports suggesting that the player would prefer to move to a club like Real Madrid if he was to leave Inter Milan.
Time will tell whether Chelsea will look to trigger his release clause but if they do, it would certainly be one of the biggest deals in footballing history.
