Chelsea make first bid for LaLiga hotshot
Chelsea have launched an initial £34million to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata this summer, per Metro.
The Spain star has been a target for the Blues since Antonio Conte took over as manager in the summer. The pair worked together when at Juventus.
Morata only moved back to Real from Turin in the summer, re-signing thanks to a buy-back option in his contract. But he has struggled with getting regular first team action at the Santiago Bernabeu, sparking rumours of yet another move.
But according to Diario Gol, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez will shun any offers under £43million.
Chelsea may be on the lookout for new striking options in the summer, with top scorer Diego Costa still being linked with a move to the Chinese Super League after a bid was made for him in January.
