Chelsea launch £41.5m bid for PSG star Edinson CavaniPublished July 24, 2016
Antonio Conte’s Chelsea revolution is officially in full swing, and following the signings of Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante, the Italian boss looks set to continue his summer spending spree.
According to reports in The Sun, the Blues are extremely keen on PSG striker Edinson Cavani, and are set to test the water with the Ligue 1 champions, by offering £41.5m for the Uruguayan’s signature.
It is thought that the French giants will rejects this offer instantly, and the report goes on to claim that they will only part with their striker if they receive a bid in excess of £65m.
It is no secret that the West London side are looking to add another striker to their squad for the forthcoming season.
Despite the addition of Belgian talent Batshuayi, the uncertainty surrounding Diego Costa’s future at Stamford Bridge has obviously caused the Chelsea hierarchy to act, with Cavani one of many name’s on Antonio Conte’s shortlist.
Reports this week suggest the Blue are considering an approach to Everton in a bid to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club, whilst Chelsea also harbour hope in signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, though the Spanish giants have reportedly set a price of £67m for any club looking to sign the talented forward.
