Chelsea agree massive £35m summer deal for Monaco starlet
Chelsea have agreed a huge fee with AS Monaco for one of their most talented youngsters as the club look to steal a march on their rivals.
The French midfielder, Tiemoué Bakayoko, has become somewhat of a revelation in Ligue 1 as Monaco continue to impress this season.
Overshadowed slightly by the rise of Kylian Mbappe, Bakayoko has gone under the radar somewhat but was firmly in the sights of Chelsea after his impressive display against Manchester City.
The youngster scored and impressed in a star-studded midfield matchup and that was possibly his Premier League interview.
A £35m fee is reported to be the price that Chelsea have agreed to pay and this could well spell the end of a young and talented side for the French club.
Bakayoko news exciting. Would genuinely he disappointed if we don't sign him. Add FBs, maybe CB and striker if Costa leaves = ideal summer— Malhar Bhadbhade (@malharcfc08) March 27, 2017
With Monaco likely to struggle to keep hold of their best players this summer, Bakayoko could be the first casualty but the club will get a huge fee for a player with an extremely bright future.
Wonderkid Kylian Mbappe is possibly set to be another player on his way out of the club, but there is uncertainty to whether that would be during the next transfer window or next year.
The Frenchman, who got his first call-up to the national side last weekend, is rumoured to be a target for Real Madrid and Manchester United who would both be willing to pay mega money for the starlet.
