Bundesliga club deny their coach is in line for top Premier League job
Borussia Dortmund have played down speculation linking coach Tomas Tuchel with a switch to Arsenal in the summer if Arsene Wenger departs the club this summer, per the Daily Mirror.
Wenger is now in his 21st year with the Gunners, having become a club legend by overseeing three Premier League title wins and the move to the Emirates Stadium in 2007.
But recently animosity has begun to grow among fans, with defeat to Chelsea a couple of weeks ago seemingly ending their latest title pursuit.
Dortmund boss Tuchel has been linked with the job, along with Juventus’ Max Allegri and Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim, per the Mirror, but the German club are distancing themselves from the rumours.
Club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us. We’re taking about completely fictional stuff here.
“Some day in May we will sit down and analyse this season. He is still under contract here for another year.
“That’s why I don’t understand all the speculation.”
