Borussia Dortmund star refusing to close door on summer transfer
Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has rocked the Bundesliga outfit by admitting he is considering a transfer in the summer, per Sky Sports.
The Gabon striker has scored 20 goals in Germany this term and the report continues by claiming he is a target for LaLiga giants Real Madrid.
Having previously been coy on the possibility of leaving Thomas Tuchel’s side, the 27-year-old has now opened up to the possibility of departing at the end of the season.
Aubameyang, RMC Radio: 'Everyone tells me about England but that's not the league that excites me most. I prefer the Spanish League.' 2/2— Derek Rae (@RaeComm) January 31, 2017
“I feel very good here because of the magnificent fans [at Dortmund]. It is a big club. However, I am asking myself this question, If I want to take the next step, should I not leave? Aubameyang told Radio RMC.
“Real Madrid is still a dream, but there has been too much noise.”
While Aubameyang says he is aware of fans desire to see him move to England, he stopped short of narrowing his options.
“I have an important choice to make. Many people would like to see me in England.
“[The Premier League is] not necessarily the championship that attracts me the most. I like La Liga a lot. Paris is also an attraction. French is, of course, my first language.”
