Borussia Dortmund Post Hilarious Tweet After Being Drawn With Barcelona In The Champions League
The Champions League group stage draw has been made, with a number of hugely entertaining ties in the pipeline. Excitement ahead of the tournament is always high, and this season it is no different. All eyes will be on Manchester City, the favourites, to see if Pep Guardiola can finally lead them to European glory. Liverpool are the defending champions looking for a seventh crown, while the Spanish giants will be looking to get back on top too.

One of those sides from La Liga, Barcelona, can understandably be a little concerned by their draw. Though there are never any easy games in the Champions League, Group F certainly appears to be the toughest of the lot. Barça, the five-time winners who last tasted the success in 2015, are joined by 2010 winners Inter, just as they were last season, and Borussia Dortmund.
The German side are expected to make a really big challenge for the Bundesliga title, and they have one of the most exciting players in Europe in their side, England winger Jadon Sancho.
Many expect them to struggle against the Blaugrana, but judging by their Twitter feed, they are in confident mood. Barcelona have traditionally been suspect defensively and in particular struggle with set pieces. Dortmund had a great reply to the news of their meeting by announcing they’d be practicing their corners. That was also a reference to Divock Origi’s strike in last year’s semi final, when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s quick thinking caught Barça off guard. Whatever happens, this group will be absolutely excellent to watch, especially with Antonio Conte looking to rebuild Inter. Completing the lineup of that group is Czech side Slavia Prague.
Lionel Messi will be looking to for a fourth title of his career at Barça after the disappointment of the exit to the Reds this season. But he’ll know how great the test ahead will be.
