Betting suspended on Antonio Conte getting sacked by Chelsea
Antonio Conte has only been in charge of Chelsea a few months and people are already doubting his future as Stamford Bridge boss.
Betting has been suspended on Antonio Conte being the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
Following a flurry of bets this afternoon, the former Italy and Juventus manager is now firm favourite to get the axe. Betway and Paddy Power have both suspended betting on Conte being the second Premier League boss to face the sack.
However, if you still fancy a flutter, Betfair have slashed their odds from 33/1 to 6/1, and Ladbrokes 20/1 to 6/1.
The first Premier League manager to get sacked this season was Francesco Guidolin, a Swansea casualty replaced by American Bob Bradley.
On Saturday Chelsea welcome Premier League champions Leicester City to Stamford Bridge.
This is what Twitter had to say about the reports…
Bizarre - bookmaker suspends betting on Antonio Conte leaving #CFC— James Benge (@jamesbenge) 13 October 2016
I'm told that no notice should be taken of some bookies suspending betting on Conte leaving Chelsea. Any suggestion he is is nonsense— Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) 13 October 2016
If Conte is to be sacked by #CFC, in last 2yrs they've probably paid managers more to not manage them than they have to actually manage them— Louie Chandler (@ChandlerLouie) 13 October 2016
