Benjamin Mendy may have only played a handful of games for Manchester City since signing for Monaco in 2017, but he is still one of the most popular footballers in the country.
The Frenchman cost City a stunning £52million over a year ago, but a serious knee injury kept him out for the majority of his debut season. He has managed to convey his charm with his unique approach to social media, often making supporters laugh with the way he interacts with them.
But after almost giving away a penalty, as well as setting up Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva’s goals at Arsenal on Sunday, his manager Pep Guardiola suggested his love got Twitter may be distracting him.
But Mendy reacted in typical fashion, much to the pleasure of his followers.

City looked ominous at the Emirates Stadium and could have won by more goals. After Liverpool’s win against West Ham earlier in the day, it is becoming clearer who the favourites for the Premier League title are. If they manage to retain it, City will become the first side to do so since 2009.
