Benfica boss Rui Vitoria believes that Manchester United are getting a bargain when they spend £38 million on Victor Lindelof. Although the deal isn’t official yet, it’s believed that the Swedish defender will move in January.
While it’s a lot of money for a largely unproven player, Vitoria believes Lindelof’s value will only rise with every passing game.
Asked about the Premier League-bound player, Vitoria said: “Lindelof? Our players have quality and are attractive to the market. They are young and are increasing in value from game to game, so I predict very good careers for them.”
Lindelof is expected to make his final appearance for the Portuguese champions tonight against Rio Ave. United fans interested in watching him play should also keep an eye on Nelson Semedo. The speedy right-back is also of interest to Mourinho and is a transfer target for next summer.
Ladies and gentlemen. Victor Lindelof. How many Defenders do you see doing this before batting a striker? pic.twitter.com/z8QwVyYwRq— Drawty Devil (@DrawtyDevil) December 21, 2016
