Bayern Munich are set to activate a €35million release clause to bring France World Cup star Benjamin Pavard to the Allianz Arena.
The 22-year-old Stuttgart centre back has been played out of position on the right of the French defence in Russia, but he has impressed, particularly by scoring a stunning goal against Argentina in the last 16 of the tournament.
He is set to start against Uruguay in the quarter final on Friday, and interest in his services is growing. Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be keen on him, but Bayern may have already jumped to the head of the queue.
But the German champions, now under the stewardship of Niko Kovac, will not prize from from Stuttgart until 2019, per SportBILD.

France are now second favourites to win the World Cup behind Brazil, but they will face the Selecao if both progress through the next stage. Belgium are also in the mid and cannot be underestimated.
