Bayern Munich to make shock move for Tottenham flop in the summer
Bayern Munich are set to move for a Tottenham flop in the summer window as they plan to replace Xabi Alonso following his retirement at the end of the season.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side will target Paulinho who left Spurs for the Chinese Super League in 2015 following an extremely disappointing season for the club.
The player originally came in as one of the clubs big money signings following Gareth Bale’s record-breaking transfer to Real Madrid.
After impressing in his first year at the club, Paulinho quickly became one of the scapegoats at the club with a less than impressive season.
Paulinho flopped at Tottenham , left for china , now is being linked Bayern , crazy stuff— Leo (@Leoo_Almeida97) April 11, 2017
Now, following his recent good form in the Chinese Super League as well as the Brazilian national team, Bayern Munich have come calling with the possibility of signing the player.
The German giants are a formidable side yet again this season and look set to win the Bundesliga ahead of RB Leipzig.
With also the chance of winning the Champions League and a squad filled with world class talent, it seems a very strange move from the club to move for Paulinho.
Should a deal be completed, the club will hope that he can recreate his national team form, in which he scored a hat-trick for the club recently.
