Barcelona star wanted by Chinese club Hebei China Fortune who will offer him £80m a year
According to Sky Sports, Lionel Messi is wanted by mega-rich Chinese club Hebei China Fortune who will offer him over £80million a year.
The club in question already own the world’s highest paid player Ezequiel Lavezzi, who knows Messi from their time playing for Argentina together.
Hebei China Fortune not only have Manuel Pellegrini as manager, but Stephane Mbia, Gael Kakuta and Gervinho on their salary books too.
It’s evident with the investment Hebei China Fortune are making in the game that they cause a threat to clubs throughout Europe, but would Messi really leave Barcelona for a club in Asia regardless of the amount of money offered?
Contract talks between Barcelona and Messi’s representatives are ongoing with the Argentine believed to be demanding over £800,000-per-week, which is a significant amount more than what Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo earns at Real Madrid.
Messi’s current Barcelona deal expires in 2018 and fans are understandably sweating beneath the collar at the thought of him leaving Camp Nou.
