The Neymar saga continues as speculations continue to grow over his potential move to the French league. The Barcelona superstar is on the verge of setting a new £200 million world record as Paris Saint Germain are committed to bringing the 25-year-old winger to the club.

Neymar reportedly was angry over a challenge by new team-mate Nelson Samedo during a training session in Miami, part of the club’s North America tour. The Brazilian striker was furious and then quickly left the training ground.

The added uncertainty over Neymar’s future has forced Barcelona to search for potential replacements. The Spanish giants have shown interest in Philippe Coutinho, with personal terms already negotiated.

If the Neymar deal goes through, Barca are likely to reach Liverpool’s demands, moving from 70m to 85m with the added cash they receive from PSG. Coutinho is believed to be a great fit for the club, with versatility both in the midfield and his striking ability.

Jürgen Klopp wants to keep his star player at Liverpool, however, the Brazilian midfielder has expressed his interest in returning to La Liga. The Premier League club will be playing Champions League qualifiers in mid-August, and hope to keep him for the upcoming fixtures.

Barcelona have also turned their attention to Ander Herrera, who could be a possible successor to Andrés Iniesta. Manchester United are not looking to sell the Spanish international but would consider letting him go for around £60m.

Another potential replacement for Neymar includes Tottenham’s Dele Alli. The England midfielder won the PFA Young Player of the Year after scoring 23 goals, and it’s no surprise he’s on Barca’s wanted list.

While Barcelona are fighting to keep their star at Nou Camp, they will have the ability to splash plenty of cash if PSG secure the Brazilian striker.
