Arsenal star will stay at the club, insists boss
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists talisman Alexis Sanchez will still be at the club next season despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding his contract, per Sky.
Sanchez, 28, who has just over a year running on his current deal, was nominated for PFA Player of the Year this season and has been in sensational form this year, scoring 19 Premier League goals.
But reports suggest he is growing frustrated at the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners struggling to qualify for the Champions League this term.
He scored the winning goal in Arsenal’s FA Cup semi final win over Manchester City. Wenger, who has yet to pen a new deal himself, insists Sanchez will remain at the club next season.
“Alexis Sanchez was like the team,” Wenger said.
“He had problems to start and became stronger and stronger.

“He is an animal, always ready to kill the opponent. He will never give up. He will be here next year because he has a contract and hopefully we will manage to extend.”
Sanchez has been linked with a host of clubs recently, including Manchester City and Chelsea.
