Arsenal star demands Barcelona transfer: Nou Camp side ready move for £160m worth of talent as Coutinho deal dies
Barcelona have turned their attention to Mesut Ozil, after the club were unsuccessful in signing Philippe Coutinho.
The Arsenal playmaker could be leaving the club this summer after he reportedly asked his agent to secure a move to Nou Camp.
The German international appears frustrated at the Emirates, and pushing for a massive move to the Catalan giants. The 28-year-old midfielder has less than a year left on his contract, and could leave for free if the Gunners don’t secure a new deal.
This comes after Liverpool prevented Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona. The Spanish giants made three bids for the Brazilian playmaker, but Liverpool rejected each offer.
The Blaugrana gave the English club until 7pm on Sunday in the UK to respond to further talks, but were left with no response. Jurgen Klopp and the members at Anfield remained firm about not selling the 25-year-old star, as they hope he will bring trophies to the club.
While Coutinho’s move ended, Barca remain optimistic in securing Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman’s price may be reached despite the initial bid denied. The rising star is pushing for a move, and currently sitting out of training due to an internal suspension.

Jean Michael Seri has also been targeted by Barca and reportedly close to signing a £36.6m deal. The Nice midfielder’s representatives arrived to Barcelona to finalise the move. The Ivory Coast midfielder was a key player last season in the French league, and believed can fill the void Xavi left at Nou Camp.
