Arsenal set to block Man City approach for top star creating huge problems
Arsenal could see a huge amount of trouble next season, after blocking Alexis Sanchez’s route out of the club.
Manchester City are the only option left for the player, who will not sign a new deal with the club, and will be out of contract and allowed to leave on a free this time next season – meaning that if Arsenal want any money, they will have to sell him this summer.
Alexis not only wants to stay in the Premier League, but is also keen on working with Pep Guardiola, yet Arsene Wenger is aware that if he sells Alexis to Man City, the fans will revolt.
That would leave Bayern Munich as the only other reasonable option – yet with the move for Serge Gnabry, it seems that the Bundesliga champions no longer want or need Alexis.
While keeping the player might save face for Arsenal and their manager, it could cause huge issues in the dressing room, and Alexis may well prove to be more of a disruptive than useful presence next season, before then leaving on a free to Man City a year later anyway – possibly even signing a pre-contractual agreement in January with City anyway.
