Is Jack Wilshere Real Betis bound and should Arsenal reconsider his worth to the team?
After watching Arsenal’s pathetic display against Liverpool on Sunday, it is being reported that they’re about to sell probably the only player in the squad that cares about the club.
Jack Wilshere may have bad habits, get into trouble from time to time, and be injury prone but when you watch half-arsed performances from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey and others, can you convince me Wilshere wouldn’t do better?
At least Arsenal fans who pay ridiculous amounts of money to watch their team underperform each season would get to see a bit of grit. Not a bunch of careless mannequins that only look interested in collecting their next wage package.
But according to a report from Spanish outlet EstadioDeportivo, Arsenal have offered Wilshere to La Liga outfit Real Betis. The club are said to be eager to acquire as much money as possible for the diminutive midfielder over the coming days, rather than lose him for nothing next summer when his contract expires.
In the Premier League there is apparently interest from Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, where Wilshere spent last season on loan. Elsewhere clubs such as AC Milan and Roma keep making headlines with alleged contact with the club or player.
Although, Real Betis are a new club thrown into the mix.
I’d be interested in hearing from Arsenal fans that would give Wilshere another chance in the line-up. When I look at the current XI, I don’t see anything standing worthwhile standing in his way, and it looks like the Gunners will be selling another one or two players before the transfer window shuts.
