Manchester United and Arsenal have contacted Yaya Toure’s representative about signing the out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder.
The Ivorian, has been deemed surplus to requirements under new City boss Pep Guardiola, playing just once under the new boss, and was not included in their 21-man Champions League squad.
Earlier this week, Toure’s agent claimed “millions” of African football fans were set to switch their allegiance from City to United in light of the treatment he was receiving from Guardiola.
It’s believed that the midfielder is now concentrating on signing a pre-agreement with another club in January, and according to Sky Sports, Manchester United and Arsenal have spoken with Toure’s representative about signing the out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder, but it is understood that any move would be almost ‘impossible’ to pull off.
The 33-year-old apparently has offers from China, Turkey and USA, and one of these countries appear to be the midfielder’s next destination.
