Arsenal to make world record bid for European star after £87m bid rejected
Arsenal are set to go in for one of Europe’s most impressive talents this summer and are prepared to launch a world record bid in an attempt to beat Manchester City and Real Madrid to his signature.
The player in question is Kylian Mbappe, who has come to extreme prominence this season following a string of impressive Ligue 1 performances and then some unstoppable performances in the Champions League.
This has no doubt peaked the interest in some of the best clubs in the world, including Real Madrid who are said to have bid a world record £105m already.
Manchester City are said to have matched that bid while Arsenal reportedly had a bid of £87m rejected this week but there is now an expectation that the Gunners will return with a higher offer.

Whether that will be matching the £105m offers from both Madrid and Manchester City is yet to be seen but Arsene Wenger’s side are clearly interested in signing the player.
Interest in Mbappe could also come from a potential departure for Alexis Sanchez who has also been linked with a whole host of clubs in Europe.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City have all be cited to have an interest in the Chilean and that could mean that interest in Mbappe has come from the potential departure of the forward.
