Griezmann has spent four years in the Spanish capital, helping his club to a Champions League final, in 2016, and a Europa League won over Marseille last month. He scored twice in the 3-0 win in what could be his farewell appearance.

He was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, but decided against a switch because Atleti were in the midst of a transfer ban. Now, he seems open to the idea of departing the Wanda Metropolitano, but reports in Spanish newspaper AS suggest he will stay.
“My future? It’ll be determined before the World Cup, he said.
“The most important thing is that I’m feeling happy.
“I feel fine, I have total confidence.
“We [France] must keep our feet on the ground and do everything possible to succeed at the World Cup.”
Griezmann’s contract has a release clause that will be halved to €100million in July. Atleti will do well to keep him, with a number of big clubs undoubtedly keen to sign him this summer. But he does have a very good relationship with Diego Simeone, his manager, and while the Atleti fans have made their feelings known about him before, they will be happy if he does remain at the club.
