Antoine Griezmann Deletes Twitter Post After Being Accused Of Racism
Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann was at the centre of a racism storm on Sunday evening after posting a photo himself dressed as a black basketball player on social media.
Griezmann stated he was heading to a “80’s Party” and donned make up to in his words “pay homage” to an era he respected. Many of his followers on both Twitter and Instagram were left far from happy, though.
Je reconnais que c’est maladroit de ma part. Si j’ai blessé certaines personnes je m’en excuse.— Antoine Griezmann (@AntoGriezmann) December 17, 2017
Later, the Frenchman, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Barcelona recently, with Atleti boss Diego Simeone admitting he will be allowed to leave the club, told critics to “calm down” before eventually deleting the post.
GRAB THIS GREAT CORAL OFFER!
While he later admitted his mistake, he still felt the wrath of a lot of people for his actions.
