Boxing Betting Preview: Bet on Mayweather Vs McGregor to be finished in Under 4.5 Rounds
Mayweather vs McGregor Recommended Bet – Under 4.5 Rounds at 3/1 (4.00) with Coral
Unbeaten great of the modern boxing era Floyd Mayweather will once again come out of retirement to enter the ring, this time against MMA mega-star Conor McGregor.
The NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) last week voted in favour of 8oz gloves for this 154lb bout, a request which both fighters were happy to agree to.
So now that the NSAC has approved 8oz gloves for #MayweatherMcGregor who does it benefit more??— HeSaidSheBoxing™ (@HsSsboxing) August 16, 2017
It is set to be a PPV record breaker, but ticket sales to the event itself at the T-Mobile Arena are plentiful for those willing to shell out obscene cash for a place inside for the historic combat sports event.
The Mayweather v McGregor betting odds are obviously favouring the boxer here. Floyd Mayweather boasts a 49-0 record and has been dominant in the sport of boxing for two decades and has fended off a long list of great fighters along the way.
A top price of 2/7 for Floyd Mayweather to win by any means will appeal to many big hitters who feel his price should be even shorter due to many online bookmakers currently showing some heavy liabilities on the Irishman to upset the odds.
Conor McGregor is the bookies underdog with betting odds of 10/3 (4.33) still available with a few firms, 3/1 in places and now as short as 11/4 in some online sportsbooks.
The Irishman’s confident mood in recent press conference interviews has seen even more cash pile on McGregor, who bids to win his first professional boxing fight by denying Floyd Mayweather the breaking of Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 record. It is a very tall order and around the 3/1 mark doesn’t make much betting appeal.
