The Stayers Hurdle is the second feature race on day three of the festival.
Traditionally this took centre stage until the Ryanair Chase was added, and both are great races for a bet on Cheltenham, giving punters two excellent contests in the space of 40 minutes.
A late change in this race as Thyme Hill has been withdrawing just days before the Cheltenham Festival due to a slight injury. That leaves the door open for Paisley Park, who can win this now that his biggest challenger is out of the way.
A winner of the race in 2019, Paisley Park was not right last season, but has looked as good as ever this campaign.
Twice he’s ran against Thyme Hill, both of those races look to be the strongest staying race we have seen this season, the form is rock solid.
On top of that, Paisley Park thrives on the Cheltenham hill, the course really suits his running style and for that reason, he is our pick in this one.
After the news of Thyme Hill withdrawing from the race, Paisley Park is now a rock solid 2/1 favourite for the Stayers Hurdle, and many people out there will be on at bigger odds.
Roksana is another who is not heading here, she will be going to the Mares Hurdle instead.
That has left the likes of Sire Du Berlais at 9/2 and Flooring Porter at 8/1 as the main challengers to Paisley Park, but neither have the same kind of form in the book as our selection.
