The final race of the Cheltenham Festival is another tough handicap for punters to solve.
The Martin Pipe handicap hurdle is confined to conditional jockeys only, and a chance to see future starts in action.
This is the last chance to place any Cheltenham free bets you have remaining, and the final bet on Cheltenham you will have until 2022.
Back in December, when winning at Kempton in what was a competitive handicap, Monte Cristo looked to be a horse to follow.
He won by seven lengths that day, and has been hit with a 12lb rise in the weights for that, but after just eight total starts, and four of those in Britain, there is every chance that we haven’t seen the best of this horse yet.
Despite the rise he’s been given, this horse could still be ahead of the handicapper and his last two runs have both been in big fields which will help him here.
The final race on the card, and Cheltenham certainly don’t make it easy for punters to get out of jail on the last.
Expect this race to be 5/1 or 6/1 the field, unless we have a huge gamble on the day, and the vast majority of runners here will be priced up at double figures.
Gentleman De Mee heads the betting, a lightly raced Willie Mullins runner, while there are a host of other horses from both the UK and Ireland in behind.
The tip Monte Cristo is 12/1 and so make sure you look out for enhanced each way place terms whatever you are backing here.
