The feature race on day two of the Cheltenham Festival is the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
This is a race that many look forward to when placing a bet on Cheltenham. It brings together the best two-mile chasers we have for a test that combines jumping ability and speed.
For those holding onto Cheltenham free bets, if you want to place them on the biggest events then this is the biggest race on day two.
The Champion Chase throws up more questions than answers at the moment.
Is Chacun Pour Soi going to make the festival this year? Will Altior run in the race and bounce back? Can Politologue win again? Can Nube Negra get up the Cheltenham hill?
Plenty to think about, arguably making this the toughest puzzle to solve of the four Championship races.
We are taking a chance on Nube Negra here. He slammed Altior over Christmas in the Desert Orchid Chase, and although the Champion Chase is a completely different race at a very different track, he is an each way price and certainly a contender.
Chacun Pour Soi has strengthened his position at the top of the betting by winning in great style at the Dublin Racing Festival.
He is a fragile horse and anyone backing him probably won’t be fully confident in him until he actually sets off. The Mullins runner is now 4/5 to take this title.
Altior is 7/1 to win the race, Nube Negra has been backed a little into 8/1 and Politologue rounds off the main challengers at 9/1.
First Flow put himself in the picture recently, and is a 10/1 shot for Kim Bailey.
