There will be a new US Open men’s champion this year, while the women’s title looks to be particularly unpredictable – the finals are set for Sunday and Saturday respectively.
We’re backing Alexander Zverev and Naomi Osaka to win the titles – and there is a 6/1 double with Bet365 that looks a fantastic bet for the US Open finals this year:
|When||August 31–September 13|

Thiem goes into the final as a heavy favourite, but we are siding with Zverev to win the title.
The German seemed down and out after going two sets behind in his semi-final against Pablo Carreno-Busta but battled back to secure the first five-set victory of his career.
Zverev should therefore be full of confidence after reaching his maiden grand slam final with the former world number three having also beaten Thiem in their last meeting in a final.
While Thiem has the edge in the head-to-head record between the players, the Austrian has lost all three of the grand slam finals he has reached in the past.
The 2018 US Open champion Osaka is widely expected to beat Viktoria Azarenka but we have found a way to back her to take the title with some extra value attached.
Azarenka reached the US Open final in both 2012 and 2013 but lost on each occasion, with this year’s showpiece the first time the Belarussian has got to a final in the past seven years.
While experience is on Azarenka’s side, the 31-year-old has not beaten Osaka since 2016 when she was new to the tour.
The duo were set to meet in the recent Cincy final but Osaka pulled out, handing Azarenka the title – but this time will be different.
Osaka is a better player than Azarenka by a large distance and a -2.5 games handicap will be no barrier to her reclaiming the title.
