UEFA Europa League Betting Prediction | Back Manchester United to beat FeyenoordPublished September 13, 2016
Jose Mourinho will rotate his squad in the aftermath of derby defeat to Manchester City. The Manchester United manager would have been mixing things up anyway, the defeat simply changes the context of the squad rotation. Marcus Rashford will get his first start of the season and look to impress at Feyenoord in their Europa League group stage opener.
Managers don’t always tend to follow up on their stated interest in taking the Europa League seriously. Given that a place in the Champions League is offered to the winner, that seems a bit silly. Mourinho’s United should still impress with a second-string line-up given the incredible strength of their squad. Ander Herrera is also likely to start after his impressive display in the second half against City. Feyenoord is no easy trip, mind you.
The Dutch side have gotten off to an incredible start to the Eredivisie season, winning their first five games. Then again, they still depend on former Liverpool veteran Dirk Kuyt for goals and the level of opposition they faced hasn’t been particularly difficult. United to bounce back.
