Swansea v Manchester United Betting PreviewPublished November 3, 2016
If Manchester United aren’t due a Premier League win then surely they’re due at least a Premier League goal. The Red Devils came as close to scoring without actually as any team can when they drew 0-0 at home with Burnley last weekend. More than 30 shots were taken, the bar was rattled, the post was hit and Mark Clattenburg turned down numerous penalty appeals.
The curiously-timed return of Bastian Schweinsteiger was the feel-good story that deflected away from matters on the pitch. United haven’t scored a goal in three league games and lie in eighth place behind Watford, eight points off leaders Manchester City after just ten matches.
Bob Bradley appeared to get things up and running with a spirited performance away to Arsenal for his debut game. He followed this up with a home draw against Watford. All good so far. But that recovery process was set back with a 3-1 defeat away to an admittedly resurgent Stoke.
United have struggled against Swansea in recent years. The Welsh side have become their bogey team but now is as good a chance as ever for them to get their first win at the Liberty Stadium since David Moyes’ first game in charge back in August 2013.
The visitors will be without Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly but will hope to have Anthony Martial fit after a foot injury. Swansea will be without Nathan Dyer but hope to have Jefferson Montero and Kyle Naughton available.
