Man Utd v Tottenham Betting Predictions | Premier League BettingPublished December 8, 2016
Jose Mourinho will be hoping that his Manchester United side can end a run of 1-1 draws by beating Tottenham this Sunday and add to their shocking tally of victories.
After 14 rounds, they’ve won just five matches. It’s an appalling total that leaves him with a worse record than Moyes and van Gaal at similar stages of their United careers.
Considering Spurs have been so difficult to defeat, with only Chelsea beating them in the league, it seems unlikely that this nervous United team could find victory here. It’s nothing to do with performances. United are playing good football and have been the better team in each of their last three draws. But when it comes to being clinical, there’s a lot to be desired.
Spurs were like this a few weeks ago but the return of Harry Kane has gotten them firing again. They broke Chelsea’s long run of clean sheets before riddling Swansea with shots and condemning Bob Bradley to a 5-0 defeat. Things aren’t looking good for the American in Wales.
Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw didn’t travel to Ukraine for United’s Europa League tie and are doubtful for this game. Marouane Fellaini is unlikely to feature after his catastrophic cameo and Michael Carrick could be placed at the base of midfield to set the ton like a human metronome. The big question is are we going to see yet another 1-1 draw? Don’t bet against it.
